Policies

What to know before you book. Pearline goes over draping and pressure again at every visit.

How to book

Book online or call (717) 555-0109. No deposit is needed to hold your time, and Pearline confirms every visit by text or email, whichever you prefer.

Canceling and running late

Please give us 24 hours' notice to move a visit. If you are unwell, tell us and we will find another day. If you arrive late, the visit ends on time so the next client is not kept waiting.

If you miss an appointment

If you miss a visit without telling us, call when you can and we will find another time. Pearline would rather hear that something went wrong than not hear from you at all.

Children and companions

Massage here is for adults. A family member, friend or caregiver is welcome to sit beside you for the whole visit, or to wait in the front room, as you prefer. Children can come along as visitors, with an adult who is responsible for them.

If you're not happy

Tell us within a few days and we'll make it right.

Tipping

Tipping is welcome and never expected. You can add one when you pay or when you book.

Undressing and draping

In a chair you stay in your own clothes. On a table you undress only as far as you are comfortable, and a sheet covers you the whole time, with only the area being worked on uncovered.

Pressure, consent and stopping

Pearline asks about pressure and any place to leave alone before she starts, and checks again partway through. Light to medium is the usual range. She stops whenever you say.

Before your visit

Wear something soft that is easy to move in. Eat lightly beforehand, bring your glasses and any cane or walker, and come a few minutes early to settle in without hurrying.

When to ask your doctor first

If you have a heart condition, take blood thinners, have swelling in a leg, or have had recent surgery, a fall or an injury, ask your doctor before you book. Pearline may ask for a note from your doctor first, and she may suggest you see your doctor if something worries her.
